• Christy Bormann

    Christy started volunteering in wilderness search and rescue in 2002 with Search Dog Network and later with Alamo Area Search and Rescue. In 2006 she made the transition to urban search and rescue and joined Texas A&M Task Force. She's trained and certified with both live find and human remains detections canines. Today Christy is the Canine Training Coordinator for Texas A&M Task Force 1, as well as an instructor and evaluator for the FEMA system.

  • Macie Thompson

    Macie started volunteering in wilderness search and rescue in 2012 with Alamo Area Search and Rescue. She joined Texas A&M Task Force 1 in 2017. Macie has trained and certified dogs in human remains detection. Outside of search and rescue, Macie started a career in cyber security first as a Cyberspace Officer in the Air Force before transitioning to the commercial industry. Today she is the Director of Security Services for Recon InfoSec.

  • Grace Jackson

    Grace started volunteering in wilderness search and rescue in 2012 with Travis County Search and Rescue and later with Alpena County Search and Rescue. In 2020 she transitioned to urban search and rescue and joined Texas A&M Task Force 1. Grace has deployed and certified dogs in both live find and human remains detection. Outside search and rescue, Grace founded a dog board and train business and is an executive assistant.

  • Dr. Debra Zoran

    Dr. Zoran is a professor at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She began volunteering and providing veterinary support to TX-TF in 1997 when they were founded. In 2009 she joined Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team. Dr. Zoran officially joined Texas A&M Task Force 1 in 2014 to be able to support deployed USAR canines. Today Dr. Zoran is the Director of the Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team.

  • Matt Young

    Matt started volunteering in wilderness search and rescue in 2012 with Search Dog Network. He joined Texas A&M Task Force 1 in 2014. Outside of search and rescue, Matt was a high school teacher before transitioning to curriculum development with TEEX. Today Matt teaches multiple courses with TEEX including Confine Space Rescue, Rope Rescue, and Trench Rescue course.
